Galeries Lafayette property plight plot thickens in Paris's Marais district
The department store group is pressing ahead in its fight to convert two of its buildings in historic central Paris into high-end shops. But it is up against local authorities increasingly concerned about luxury groups buying buildings and letting them decay so they can demolish them.
