In late 2015, a month after the Pinault family's Artémis firm took over cruise ship operator Compagnie du Ponant, a fire broke out on one of its ships. The courts are still trying to get to the bottom of the affair, amid suspected conflicts of interest and the existence of a mysterious black box.
